Organizations verify with Google Business Profile in one of two ways: - Connect the Google account that manages your listing (one click; Google's consent screen names a broad permission because that is the only one Google offers — PinchHitterPool makes two read-only calls and never edits your listing). - Or submit your listing's public link. A platform reviewer confirms the website on the listing matches your organization's registered website or email domain, within two business days. Both ways earn the same "verified" badge. A household has no business listing: it verifies through its owner — the owner's LinkedIn, or the owner's card or ID check. The address on a verified listing powers the "Location verified" badge. Verification means we confirmed control of a listing at that time — not anyone's conduct, and never a background check.
